Progress is Possible

"Because health matters" and great progress can be possible when you combine knowledge with commitment, the sanofi-aventis "Mission Possible" initiative is dedicated to:

Raising awareness of our commitment to accommodate employees and applicants with disabilities and raising general sensitivity to the needs of workers with disabilities.  

  • Promote a better understanding among all sanofi-aventis employees of the company’s commitment to accommodating employees and applicants with disabilities, and resources for doing so. 
  • Promote sensitivity to disabilities, and the importance of treating all people as individuals, not as positive or negative stereotypes.
  • Communicate the company’s commitment to the employment of disabled workers.         

Proactively exploring modifications of the workplace to improve accessibility.

Actively recruiting disabled workers.

  • Candidates will be considered on the basis of their qualifications, providing equal opportunity to all candidates, and reasonable accommodation to those with a disability. In evaluating possible accommodations, we recognize that everyone is unique, and that therefore our evaluation of accommodations must be on a case-by-case basis, specific to the person and position involved.    
  • We will monitor the effectiveness of accommodations, to assure that they continue to be appropriate, or that adjustments are considered as circumstances dictate.      

Working in close collaboration with U.S. based disability outreach organizations to provide non-sanofi-aventis employment opportunities for disabled workers.

  • Our commitment to employment of people with disabilities extends beyond the sanofi-aventis workplace, to supporting entities that focus on employment of people whose severe limitations may greatly limit their capabilities.
  • It is possible to contract with such entities for some of the many goods and services we procure from vendors, and thereby make a meaningful contribution to the employment of disabled workers.
