Sanofi-aventis is proud to appear on Science magazine’s 2008 Top Employer list. The annual list, which features 20 companies with the best reputations, is the result of a survey of nearly 4,000 employees of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

For the second year in a row, sanofi-aventis U.S. was listed among the 100 Best Companies by Working Mother magazine.  This prestigious list serves as the most important benchmark for work/life practices in corporate America.  Working Mother magazine highlighted several sanofi-aventis U.S. programs and benefits that support a healthy life style, including state-of-the-art fitness centers, health assessments and a 24/7 health hotline.  In addition, sanofi-aventis U.S. was recognized for its flexible work policies, support of child care, as well as its commitment to advancing the careers of women.

For the second year in a row, sanofi-aventis was listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), an internationally renowned index that measures criteria dealing with the economic, environmental and social trends of a company.  The Group ranks among the seven top-rated pharmaceutical companies in sustainability.  For sanofi-aventis, sustainability is an integral part of our business. 

The index evaluates companies’ economic, social, societal and environmental performance.  The evaluation focuses on corporate governance, risk management, responsible marketing, working conditions, access to medicines and healthcare, relationships with suppliers, and climate change.

The American Academy of Dermatology awarded sanofi-aventis U.S. a 2009 Gold Triangle Award for the company’s “Everyday Heroes” campaign, which supports the marketing of Benzaclin® (clindamycin 1%-benzoyl peroxide 5% gel) Topical Gel and includes an online educational resource for teens and parents called Acne Heroes.

The American Society of Dermatological Surgery awarded sanofi-aventis U.S. its coveted Dermasurgery Diamond Award for the company’s Sculptra.com® (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) physician training program.  The hands-on program, designed by physicians for physicians, provides training on proper injection techniques.  

The program, which has received positive feedback from customers, is designed to optimize patient outcomes by providing physicians with the education, tools and support they need to properly treat their patients.
