Sanofi-aventis U.S. Leadership

Gregory Irace is President and Chief Executive Officer of sanofi-aventis U.S./Canada Pharmaceutical Operations, an affiliate of the sanofi-aventis Group.  Mr. Irace is responsible for all sanofi-aventis pharmaceutical operations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. He also oversees the coordination of Industrial Affairs and R&D activities in the United States. 


Gabriela Aguado is Vice President and head of Quality and Compliance in the U.S. She provides direction and leadership for the development and implementation of an effective Quality Management System for industrial activities in the U.S., and works to ensure compliance with FDA requirements and the sanofi-aventis Industrial Quality Policy.


Lisa Buffington is Vice President, U.S. Communications. She is responsible for oversight of Media Relations, Product Communications, Internal Communications, Corporate Reputation and Digital Communications across U.S. Pharmaceutical Operations, R&D and Vaccines.


Paul Chew is Senior Vice President, U.S. Chief Science Officer/Chief Medical Officer.  Dr. Chew has responsibility for the company's five research sites located in Bethesda, MD; Bridgewater, NJ; Cambridge, MA; Great Valley, PA; and Tucson, AZ.  In addition, he is responsible for overseeing the U.S. Medical Affairs and U.S. Quality & Compliance organizations.


Jerry Durso is Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, U.S.  Pharmaceuticals. He is responsible for overseeing the U.S. Diabetes and Oncology businesses, as well as General Therapeutics and Cardiovascular Thrombosis marketing, sales, managed markets and commercial support functions.


Laurent Gilhodes is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of sanofi-aventis U.S.  Mr. Gilhodes is responsible for the Finance and Purchasing functions, with specific oversight of Controlling; Accounting and Financial Services; Sarbanes-Oxley, Policies & Systems; Strategic Business Analysis; Tax; Treasury; and Purchasing.


Ed Greissing is Vice President, U.S. Corporate Affairs, for sanofi-aventis U.S. He oversees U.S. Communications, Global Institutional Relations, Government Reimbursement and State Government Affairs, Scientific Affairs and Innovation, Federal Government Affairs and Policy, Patient, Physician, Provider and Payor Advocacy, Civic Action Programs, External Affairs and Alliance Development, Philanthropy, and Community Affairs. 


Zan Guerry is Chairman and CEO of Chattem. He oversees the operations of the organization’s U.S. consumer healthcare division.


Christer Odqvist is Vice President of Business Strategy & Support, which includes Strategic Projects, Regional Strategic Management Committee Coordination, Business Planning, Business Innovation, Supply Chain, and Information Systems.


Judy O'Hagan is Vice President of Human Resources for sanofi-aventis U.S. Ms. O’Hagan’s responsibilities include human resources support for sanofi-aventis U.S., with specialist support to all U.S. Operating Units.


Hugh O’Neill is President and CEO, sanofi-aventis Canada, and is responsible for managing the pharmaceutical, manufacturing and R&D operations in Canada.


Brent Ragans is Vice President, U.S. Consumer Healthcare and U.S. Dermatology.  Mr. Ragans is responsible for managing all phases of the Chattem integration for sanofi-aventis and is responsible for oversight of the dermatology franchise.


John Spinnato is Vice President, U.S. Legal.  He is responsible for the team that provides legal guidance and direction to the U.S. organization and to the senior management team.
