Sanofi-aventis U.S. is committed to supporting the cultural enrichment of the local communities in which we work and live. Once again, the company is the top sponsor of the N.J. Jazz Society’s Jazzfest which will take place on June 5th & 6th at Drew University, located in Madison, N.J.
Now in its 32nd year, Jazzfest is the longest running jazz festival in the Northeast. The event, which includes a combination of music, food and crafts, will kick off with a free concert on Friday, June 5th and continue with nonstop music on Saturday from noon until 10 p.m. Jazzfest will feature a variety of performers, including Sherrie Maricle & the DIVA Jazz Orchestra, Curtis Stigers, the Houston Person Quartet, Trio da Paz and Allen Vache’s Benny Goodman Tribute Big Band.
As part of the company’s sponsorship of Jazzfest 2009, sanofi-aventis U.S. is donating 100 festival tickets to the Newark Boys Chorus School.
The N.J. Jazz Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the performance, promotion and preservation of jazz. Through concerts, outreach programs in schools, hospitals and senior centers, as well as scholarships for young musicians, the Society is devoted to making jazz an integral part of New Jersey’s cultural life.
